Life’s too short for ordinary…

I remember driving with Theo (our Exec Chef) up to The Chateau Provence.

It was 2018 or 2019, certainly well before Covid hit our radar and our life as event professionals was about to take a serious detour.

Theo was driving and we were trying to hit the nail on the head and finalise our strap line.

It had been an on-going discussion between us for quite some time and we just couldn't get it right. We went around the houses, going back and forth, and the nearest we could come up with was all around extraordinary experiences.

We had a big wedding on later this week and we had both been into Uzes for some lunch, to chat a bit of strategy and generally enjoy the calm before the storm :)

We’ve always been about the extra-mile and it’s always been about producing something extraordinary.

So we kept asking each other. Why? The sun was shining and everything felt right. Why are we doing this, what’s it all for?

Why extraordinary? Why about producing something exceptional?

And then it all became clear- we absolutely hate mediocre. We’d prefer to lose an arm than set out to deliver something forgettable.

Why? Well because we only have a limited time- so why waste it. We’re all about the main event, not the stocking fillers.

It sounds so easy to write that down now. And I guess that’s the benefit of hindsight.

Life’s too short for ordinary….

We wouldn't have it any other way.
